I am going to try and make 1 engine out of 2 and with some new parts hopefully create a 292 powerhouse to put in Project X. I'm not going to get into too many details with the motor. I don't want to give away all my racing secrets!! I have yet to decide whether to go full mod or just create a new GP motor to run in the chassis.
Updated... I have not done much recently to my sled. The weather has been too nice to work in the shop and I have been spending some time getting Ryan going on his Larson. I have finished stripping the removable parts off the chassis and have cleaned the chassis. I also have finished locating my parts to rebuild my motor. I have tracked down a NOS Piston, wrist pin, clips, crank bearings, points & condensor, carb parts and some other misc items. Some of the other parts I have tracked down through aftermarket companies that still produce parts. Besides rebuilding the motor, getting the seat recovered and finding some skiis are all that I have left. But that will most like take the rest of the summer and fall. Stay tuned!!
Updated... 08/18/2002 I was able to put in some good time in the shop over the weekend. Temperatures have cooled off, making for excellent working weather. I have almost all of the chassis ready for primer and half of the chassis primed. I have the skiis ready to go as well as the spindles and front end parts. I have forwarded the seat to lady who reupolstered by other seat, so I can expect that back in the first part of November. I have also started to clean up the Shermanator and getting that one ready to go. A fresh coat of paint on the skiis and some touching up of the chassis paint and it will be ready to go. I also took some time to clean the shop and pack some parts that I won't be needing and put them away for storage.

Updated 9/23/2002: Well all she needs is a motor and a seat. Worked for about five hours over the weekend and really made good progress. Now it is time to work on the hard part, a complete rebuild of the motor. The seat is going in today and should be back in a month looking brand new.
